The South Australian College of Lactation Consultants Incorporated (SACLC) is an organization for Lactation Consultants and other health professionals committed to breast-feeding.

The college aims to protect, promote and support breast-feeding; foster lactation education for health professionals; encourage research in lactation and provide mutual support and encouragement to its members.

The SACLC seeks to enhance the health of the community by promoting breast-feeding and providing lactation education for health professionals; and to observe any standards of practice as published by the International Lactation Consultants Association, and the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners Code of Ethics from time to time.

These objectives are met through regular meetings and education sessions, a quarterly newsletter and a yearly conference focusing on topical breast-feeding issues.

A committee oversees SACLC with elected members serving a two-year term at the end of which members may nominate themselves again to serve a total of three terms, six years.

Members vote for committee members at the Annual General Meeting held each year in October, with the Committee then voting on executive positions at their committee meeting in November.
