The Tasmanian Lactation College Inc.
is pleased to offer 2 x $200 scholarships
for Associate Members who intend to sit the IBCLC exam in 2008

Criteria

The applicant must be:

  • a financial Associate member of TLC Inc.
  • be sitting the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Examination for the first time in the year of application.

Format of the application

The applicant is to provide:

  • Name, address, telephone and email contact
  • A brief professional resume of the last 5 years stating:
  • Qualifications and relevant affiliations
  • Relevant study undertaken and continuing education
  • Professional lactation experience
  • In no more than 250 words, provide a brief discussion paper on your intentions for use of your qualification
 

Closing date:

Applications must be postmarked no later than the 10 June 2008.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide feedback by participating in the TLC education program.

The Executive Committee of TLC Inc. will decide the scholarship and no further correspondence will be entered into. The successful applicant will be announced at the AGM and notified in writing by the Secretary.

for Members planning to undertake research in 2008/09

Criteria

The applicant must be:

  • a current financial full member of TLC Inc.
  • be undertaking research that will benefit knowledge of human lactation

Format of the application

The applicant is to provide:

  • Name, address, telephone and email contact
  • A brief professional resume of the last 5 years stating:
  • Qualifications and professional affiliations
  • Relevant study undertaken and continuing education
  • Professional lactation experience
  • Provide a research proposal stating all ethical implications, potential conflict of interest and including a brief summary of the project as well as:

  • Financial support from all sources must be disclosed
  • Word limit: 500 words
  • The successful applicant will provide a verbal and written presentation for peer review on completion of the study via publication in TLC Newsletter and at nominated TLC Seminar/Study Day
